  I have bought two Crate and Barrel umbrellas for my outdoor furniture, also Crate and Barrel. (I replaced one because of other damage due to a storm and not to a Crate and Barrel defect, but both umbrellas had ripped along the tab where the wooden spine is held in place by a pocket sewed into the canvas. I called customer service and sent a picture by email at their request to try to get a replacement and they refused. I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service and the durability of the product. It was outdoors for a short season and not abused in any way. For the price I paid for the umbrella, I could have bought a whole set elsewhere.
